Sony is a great little company. Small by Japanese standards, but very innovative.

“Sony is a great little company. Small by Japanese standards, but very innovative.”

Isn’t Sony behind the 0bama/Seal Team 6/bin Laden propaganda movie to be released in October 2012?

>>>>>>Sony is a great little company. Small by Japanese standards, but very innovative.<<<<<<<<

...but very innovative for innovation sake.

Invented BETA and SUPERBETA far supperior to VHS, failed on market.

Invented ELCASSETTE, far supperior to compact cassette, failed on market.

Invented Minidisc, failed on market (except Japan).

Invented SACD, phased out deliberately by Sony.

Invented their own PC (PSX?), failed.

Invented memory stick, no one is using it.

And so on. Too many flops to remember them all.

Only fool hopes to achieve different result without adjusting behavior.

Sony's problem are not brilliant engineers and designers. Problem are villanous managers and shareholders.

Sony tries for more than 30 years to corner the market. Closest they got was Trinitron TV many years ago and PS3 today. They try to get royalty from the entire world. And they fail miserably.

Some of their activities border on illegal, like deliberately infecting customer PCs with their malware, or having lax attitute towards customer data.

SONY and APPLE Inc. would be marriage made in heaven.
