The only election that 39 percent by the incumbant would have been sufficient to win the presidency is the 1912 election.

Wilson loses 10 states, but it’s not enough.

1912 was a crazy election year. Every other vote split (including Clinton in 1992), requires greater than 39 percent.

Eerily similar to todays situation.

Wilson = Obama

Rosevelt = Perry

Taft = Palin

Frightening to think about.

Keep in mind also that Obama may not even be on the ballot in a number of states due to citizenship documentation requirements. The last thing he is going to do is let that forged birth certificate be pronounced officially fake by a state.
