Umm... when was that specifically? Seriously? When....? The media has always known their power and have considered themselves a separate yet powerful political process. I do not know of any “good old days” with the media. Only ignorant days the public did not realize their undermining stench.

Well, you do have a good point. If I implied they were 100% honest and clean in the "good ole days" then I was wrong. I do think there was more honesty in reporting back then but certainly not completely.

I am referring to the 1940s and 1950s when I talk about the good ole days. And still, they did their share of manipulation back then too.
