An appropriate royal response to the riots might be to shoot the miscreants on sight if any further looting, burning or assaulting takes place.
One way to take the fun out of anarchy is to start piling up the bodies of those participating.
The alternative is going to be every man for himself in a primeval fight to the death in the streets while the police run and hide.

I wonder if whether or not they will get to Buckingham Palace and then destroy/loot that. The RF are powerless to order anything to be done, but at the moment the Prime Minister is apparently worthless.
