Is the Door Closed on Palin? No way. There's plenty of room for both Palin and Perry in the Republican primary field. As a matter of fact, I think they'll make a great team. Two conservative Governors from our two largest energy producing states. It's an unbeatable combo. IMO. Palin-Perry 2012! Bring it on!

They know she's inevitable.
They knew it the first time they saw her.
It's why they go insane every time they think of her.

It looks fairly certain that Perry will run. If Palin also runs, it could easily split the Conservatives ensuring that RINO Romney wins the nomination. It is unfortunate, but likely to occur.

There's plenty of room for both Palin and Perry in the Republican primary field. I agree with that. I also think that it won't be a case of Perry or Palin vs. Romney, but it will instead quickly become Perry vs. Palin as Romney fades to his actual level of irrelevance.

Everything I know about Palin tells me she would never jump into the race with someone like Perry dragging from her ankles. She has to run against Obama, run hard, attack her opponent. Not defend her running mate and waste time addressing questions about his positions and his record.
Where she’ll find a decent running mate, I don’t know, but Perry isn’t that.

I don’t think Palin will ever again in her life agree to be anybody’s VP choice
I am equally sure, Perry will not select her and does not need her in a successful a Presidential run. Besides, I don’t think Palin Perry works.
Because there is SO much talent in the Conservative camp right now, this is all going to get even more interesting. But never discount ‘personality’ as a factor.

“Is Door Closed on Palin?”
Nope. Romney needs her to split votes with Bachmann, Cain and to a lesser degree, Perry. Without Palin splitting that vote, no way Romney wins the nomination.

I have one reason I would like to see Palin as our next president.
1. Energy crisis.
The only quick fix available to this country is to develop our energy resources immediately and even begin to export them. This could solve our national debt problem. Putting people to work on energy could solve our employment problem. We could also begin to dismantle the beast in Washington. Sarah is ideally suited for all of these tasks. Of course she would need the help of the House and Senate.

Funny. Two-and-a-half weeks ago Greta Van Susteren took a poll of specifically that question: Palin ~
vs~ Perry. 64,000+ viewers responded... almost enough for a real indication of national opinion.
Palin absolutely ass-smacked him, 67% ~to~ 33%.
I guess this rump-weasel didn't get the memo. Sarah Palin is within 2 weeks of officially announcing her candidacy, and the political earthquake that she will set off in so doing will make these imbeciles' heads spin and eyeballs rattle.
Yawn...

Palin already has “boots on the ground” in every state except for 5-10 (can’t remember the exact number).
How many does Perry have?

I could go for a Palin/Perry 2012 ticket. As long as Sarah is on top, I trust whomever she chooses for VP.

Bring it on!The problem is that if they run against each other in the primaries, then neither of them will win the nomination. It will go to the liberal because of all the cross over votes from independents and democrats.
In those states with open primaries, the democrats will go with Romney and in winner take all primaries, like California (which has the most delegates) if there are two strong conservatives sucking votes from each other, then neither of them will get the most votes.
I'm sure Romney is hoping that Perry, Palin and Bachmann all cancel each other out. Then we will have McCain II.

The only hope left for the Republic is electing a reformer in 2012 to start the clean up.
Of the current and potential Republican nominees, Cain, Bachmann and Palin appear to be the only reformers.
Perry and Romney are "McCain II, The Sequel" and should be avoided with same intensity as avoiding obama.
