Presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman has snagged an endorsement in a key battleground state - Jeb Bush Jr, the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

Rumors of a "major" announcement from the Huntsman campaign have been circulating through Florida for days, leading many to speculate that the former governor himself would throw his weight behind Huntsman. It was his 28-year-old son, however, who accepted a position with the campaign and detailed his support in a statement released Wednesday.

I'm sure this endorsement from Jeb Bush, Jr. will be enough to put the Jon Huntsman juggernaut over the top!

I don't know much about Jeb Bush, Jr., but if he is anything like his uncle, then it just goes to show that RINOs congregate in herds.

That’s one way to kill Huntsman’s campaign: a Bush endorsement!

Wow what a great choice!

This is the guy who has his own idiot campaign staff continue to misspell his name. If his staff can't figure that out, he has as much chance of winning the nomination as a ham sandwich.

I wish the Bush's would go away already. These spoiled brats are like Meghan McCain. Spouting for attention when no one cares.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking that myself. While I personally don’t think Bush was as bad as his current press says (not to say he was good), there’s no way a Bush endorsement helps anyone. It doesn’t really matter which Bush.

Huntsmans campaign is like a car with no brakes on a steep mountain road. Not much little Jeb can do to stop that.

This endorsement makes sense for Jeb. He doesn’t want a pubbie to beat Bam in ‘12. This would hamper his chances in 2016. Got to agree with old Jesee Jackson when he said “out da Bushs’”.

Give it a rest. I’m sure George P. and his solid conservatism redeems this kid. Ronald Reagan sired two of the biggest air-headed embarrassments in the history of the World. So what?

>> That’s one way to kill Huntsman’s campaign: a Bush endorsement! <<

In a related topic, one of the reasons I haven't jumped on the "Ted Cruz for US Senate!!!" bandwagon yet is because of the kind of endorsements he'd been getting.

In addition to the Rand Paul endorsement, he's been endorsed by Jeb's other son, George P. Bush . George W. and Jeb Bush have a long record of supporting people with terrible records on immigration, government spending, etc., and it's safe to say Jeb's three kids are even LESS conservative than their dad and uncle.

Now, endorsements don't tell us everything, and it's quite possible that Ted Cruz is an otherwise solid conservative. But I'll take a way and see approach to verify that. (in Cruz's defense he has an detailed list of conservative policy positions on his page, whereas David Dewhurst doesn't even have an issues page on his campaign page, and that's a big red flag for me)

I still wish Michael Williams had sought the Senate seat.

IMO, the less we hear the name Bush in the next year and a half the better off we’ll be electorally.

Another political genius heard from. Yeah, this should really do it. Nothing like a brainless relative to really kill a political future. Just like the Reagan kids.
