Islamic neighbourhoods seem to have been able to protect themselves a bit better than average.

Sorry, but it isn't. Here in Britain, Asian is the conventional term, in use for many decades (long preceding PC, by the way) for anybody deriving from the Indian sub-continent, not the Middle East. It's not indicative of religion - it includes Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and those of any religion or none, as well as Moslems.
Well that ratchets this whole affair up another notch. Darn. Gonna need to block roads also.

I heard the BBC reporting this story. The newsreaders were nearly in tears. They thought it was soooooo sad, that muslims were killed.
The rest of the BBC comments seems to be , the white Christians deserved to be hit.
The police will search for the culprits ,just as not have more muslim riots on their hands. muslims are out in drove rancksacking the place but no mention of them being in the crowds. Politically incorrect to say muslims are rioters too.
How many times do those of us who are British freepers have to explain what Asian means in the UK before people take it in?.
