AWOL soldier indicted in Fort Hood bomb plot

WACO, Texas -An AWOL soldier has been indicted on three federal charges in connection with a plot to bomb Fort Hood soldiers in Texas.

Pfc. Naser Jason Abdo was indicted Tuesday on charges of possession of an unregistered destructive device, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition by a fugitive from justice.

The 21-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison on each charge if convicted.

Abdo was arrested two weeks ago at a Killeen motel near Fort Hood. Investigators said they found a handgun and ingredients for an explosive device.

Abdo was approved as a conscientious objector this year after citing his Muslim beliefs. But that status was put on hold after he was charged with possessing child pornography. He went absent without leave from Fort Campbell, Ky., last month.

I am not sure I understand this what does the child pornography have to do with being a "conscientious objector"?
Are they saying citing he may not be a conscientious objector if he possess child pornography? Or he might be mentally ill? or what?

Perhaps they didn’t believe he was a sincerely religious Muslim because he liked child pornography. Answer: Islam teaches killing is immoral unless you kill the enemies of Islam. (Christians, US patriots, rebellious Muslim women, and so on.)

Now the first sentence makes perfect sense.

So unless you’re having a blood feud with a neighbor or trying to conquer the world for Islam, or disciplining your wife or daughter, you shouldn’t kill. How very moral.
