A REAL President would call a joint session with Congress at 5AM and invite the Networks in. A REAL President would say, "Gentlemen and ladies, Today we set politics aside for the duration. I propose we immediately adopt the Balanced Budget Amendment. We also reform the tax code and strip it down to basics with 3 tax brackets. 15% 20% and 25%. everyone pays and there are no payroll deductions (we all must write a check to the government to pay our taxes.) When I say Everyone pays taxes I mean everyone. Churches Corporations etc. No more Non Profits or Not for Profits. No More subsidies to Corporations. The only allowable deductions would be businesses who are paying for materials to manufacture or resell. (The reason being taxes will be paid on those items by whomever sold them to the retailer/manufacturer) Entitlements will be restructured to eliminate waste. First we will eliminate 10% of the employees in all programs immediately. We mandate a 10% across the board cut in each program and it will be done without cutting benefits (eliminating redundancy and waste and corruption) Then we restructure so that people are more in control of their benefits. Social Security will be turned into a self directed trust for each beneficiary. Medicare and Medicaid will be morphed into medical savings accounts. Next we strip several Cabinet Departments Starting with the EPA, Energy, Education, Etc. we phase these out over 3 years! We phase all the other items (except for the Balanced Budget Amendment) in over a 5 year period. People we are going to agree on this now and we are all going to announce it together to the Cameras in 5 minutes. There will be no political games. This bill will pass in record time. There’s plenty of partisanship on both sides. After all, the main argument wasn’t about reducing debt. It was about whether the next debt limit argument would occur before or after the next election. Obama won that one.

The problem is there is not enough partisanship on spending. Too many folks in Washington (including many R’s) think things are just fine the way they are.

He will be re-elected. You must be one of those who still believes we’re simply in a cycle and that things will turn around. I happen to know better. All things changed on 11/4/08...nothing will again be the same. Having said that, I understand why people don’t want to believe that.

Yes, I understand that you think he’s simply incompetent. You probably even think he has good intentions, just doesn’t know what he’s doing. But, none of that is true.

He really doesn’t need a roaring economy to be re-elected. He has the media, a deluded electorate, white guilt, blacks & hispanics, higher education, Hollywood, vote fraud, unions, and so on.

But, like I said....I understand why it’s easier to think that he’s just doesn’t know what he’s doing. That would certainly explain why he’s prevailed in almost all his excesses thus far.

Once you realize that O’s goal isn’t re-election (that’s a given), things may make more sense to you. Certainly he wants you to think that’s his primary goal, in order to distract from the ultimate agenda. And, it’s easy to think that re-election is the goal, because you want to think that things are operating on with same rules you’ve known all your lifetime. To think differently is simply a bridge-too-far for most people.
