Prayers for Charlie Allen. My daughter was a 3 lb. 4 oz. premmie. She’s bigger than me now at 17. She starts college in a few weeks. NICU care can do wonders these days.
It’s always bothered me when we talk about the ‘viability’ factor...when the whole abortion debate started in the 70’s viability was at 7-8 months now 40 years later it is 4 months or less and could get to 1 day in the next 40 years.
He’s great. My twin daughters were 2 months early, 3 lb. 8 oz & 3 lb. 10 oz. They’re six now, and they’re fine. I completely agree reducing the abortion limit: make it zero, as in none. This boy is living proof, as he was at birth: all abortions are murder, since they involve the death of babies. Not “fetuses, babies.” I’d say that you’re right, the Lord has blessed him - he’s obviously thrived.
My sister gave birth to twins at 23 weeks. They are 18 months old now, and doing fine, thanks to miracles and modern medicine.
Just down the road in Wichita, George Tiller regulary performed abortions as late as 29 weeks...a fact which makes me want to throw up.
I recently read a UK news story, saying the NHS was no longer providing treatment for 23 weeks or younger births...this will probably be our future.
Abortion at any stage is the taking of a human life. After the egg is fertilized, it is a growing human being. It is not a horse, not a giraffe, etc.
What a heartwarming story despite one twin not making it.
