Nope, not buying this. Freedom leads to cooperation, generosity, and true compassion and charity. It is socialism that breaks down the morals of society, not capitalism. How did the US get to be the most generous country in the world? Capitalism and freedom. How is the US being turned into a decadent, decaying empire that pits groups of citizens against one another?
