Early in the afternoon of Tuesday July 26th, Suzi "Medea" Benjamin, co-founder of the anti-war group Code pink, stopped by to talk to the patriots on the corner of the Canon House building in Washington DC to spout her usual anti-American and anti-military propaganda. After about 10 mins of back and forth with Beverly Perlson, founder of The Band of Mothers, she left seeming disturbed by the Patriots presense on Capitol hill.
After Suzi left, Ambassador John Bolton, former US ambassador to the UN under President George W. Bush, stopped by on his way out of meeting and thanked us for our support.
It was at that point that Suzi returned to the corner, with three more friends of hers with anti-war signs and began to show their true anti-American colors by shouting at Amb Bolton calling him a war criminal and demanding that he be arrested. Upon witnessing this harrassment, the patriotic citizens supporting the troops surrounded Amb Bolton to shield him from Code Pink. Many shouts went back and forth between the groups before one of the Code Pink members came too close to Gold Star Mother Debbie Lee and pushed her. At that point, the capitol police stepped in and pushed code pink away from Amb Bolton and the patriots. Code Pink was ordered to leave the area as they had no permit to protest at that location. As they left the area, they continued to shout and spew their hatred and ignorant propaganda to all of those in the area.
Amb Bolton seemed amused by the pathetic antics and tactics of Code Pink and thanked the patriots on the corner for their support and protection before stepping into his car.
I thought Suzi was busy dance-protesting at the Jefferson monument.
Freepers Everywhere! Can’t tell you what an honor it was to be here in DC in support of our Military and yes, to also show Amb. Bolton we patriots are here for him too!

I saw Col. Mike McAlister about a month ago speak to the REC. He is impressive isn’t he? I live in Polk County where he lives and have seen him around here. Nice and down to earth man.

I bet the ladies messed up the Pinkos’ plans for some glitter bomb or other stunt to get on tv so they can seem relevant again to the viewers of MSNBC. Way to go!

I supported Congressman Allen West since 08, and will continue to support him and now Mike McCalister in the Republican Primary to face Bill Nelson in 2012.

Got there after the “pink event” was over. I had a couple of hours with the group and did not learn much about the confrontation.
I was there but needed this report to understand it! LOL
Many people stopped and read the signs and asked questions. Representatives passed by on their way to and from their offices.
They will be back there tomorrow too.
