Very true. Young singles with no kids might like the city life and being close to bars and nightlife and all that. Many people’s perspectives change when they start having kids.

In fact, I read that in many cities, people with kids move out by the time the kids are five years old. This corresponds to the age when kids start school. This time of the children’s lives really focuses the parents on whether they really want to live in the city, when a nice suburb and a house would be a better fit for a family with children.
