And, AMC (at least the ones here in Southern California) offers "senior day" pricing every TUESDAY -- all day.

Seniors (60+) pay only $6 for ANY show, ANY time at AMC -- all day Tuesday!

Tell all your "GRAND-Mama Grizzly" friends!

There has been some confusion among Palin supporters about exactly what "special prices" AMC offers for "The Undefeated" viewers.

Apparently, this is because there are considerable REGIONAL differences in their pricing policies.

US4Palin.com's Ron Devito has done some yeoman-like work digging out the REGION-SPECIFIC discounts available to the general public.

I added the part about "senior day" discounts -- so that I could use my "GRAND-Mama Grizzly" enhancement to this thread title.

It's better than my ORIGINAL idea: "Geezers4Palin." ;)

Sarah Palin Documentary “The Undefeated” to Expand to Additional Cities This Weekend

July 19, 2011

Strong opening weekend fuels film’s expansion to Tucson, AZ, West Palm, FL, Milwaukee, WI, Charlotte, NC, and Ontario, CA

Additional theatres added in Phoenix, AZ and Atlanta, GA

$11,000-plus per screen weekend averages in Orange County and Phoenix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Santa Monica, Calif. (July 18, 2011) ⎯ ARC Entertainment today announced "The Undefeated," which chronicles Sarah Palin’s rise from obscurity to national prominence, will roll out to additional AMC Theatres (AMC) beginning on Friday, July 22nd.

With sold-out runs and enthusiastic audience support on opening weekend, the film will roll out to new markets including Tucson, AZ; West Palm, FL; Milwaukee, WI; Charlotte, NC; and Ontario, CA. The film will also expand into additional theatres in Atlanta, GA, and Phoenix, AZ, and will continue in theatres in Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Orlando, FL; and Orange, CA.

ARC Entertainment, the distributor of the film, announced today that the film had a stronger opening weekend than expected with the top markets, Phoenix and Orange County, achieving weekend per screen averages above $11,000 driven by multiple sold-out runs. The film was rushed to select digital theatres in only three weeks, and was marketed entirely through social media and grass roots efforts with virtually no traditional media spend.

“Given the audience response on our opening weekend we now know we have a film that works. Our objective is very simple⎯  to bring this film to every market and every corner of the country; starting with a limited theatrical release and then through an aggressive broader distribution strategy including streaming video, on-demand access and DVD,” stated filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon.

Trevor Drinkwater, CEO of ARC Entertainment, said, “We have been inundated with requests from around the country to have the film play in their market. Our expansion plan is being methodically analyzed and managed to allow the film to be viewed by the widest audience in the most effective manner.”

This coming Friday the film will play in the following AMC theatres:

Ahwatukee 24 4915 East Ray Road Phoenix, AZ  85044
Arizona Center 24 565 N. 3rd Street Phoenix, AZ  85004
Barrett Commons 24 Theatres 2600 Cobb Place Lane NW Kennesaw, GA  30144
Block 30 @ Orange 20 City Boulevard West Orange, CA  92868
Colonial 18 Theatres 825 Lawrenceville – Suwanee Road Lawrenceville, GA  30245
Concord Mills 8421 Concord Mills Boulevard, Concord, NC 28027
Foothills 15 7401 La Cholla Blvd. Suite 144 Tucson, AZ  85741
Grapevine Mills 30 Theatres 3150 Grapevine Mills Parkway Grapevine, TX  76051
Highlands Ranch 24 103 Centennial Road Highlands Ranch, CO  80126
Indian River 24 6200 20th Street #600 Vero Beach, FL  32966
Mayfair Mall 18 2500 North Mayfair Road Box M-146 Wauwatosa, WI  53226
Ontario Mills 30 4549 Mills Circle Ontario, CA  91764
West Oaks 14 9415 West Colonial Drive Ocoee, FL  34761
Willowbrook 24 Theatres 17145 Tomball Parkway Houston, TX  77064

“We are thrilled that The Undefeated can benefit from the digital cinema platform to quickly expand to additional markets this weekend,” said Jonathan Dern, president of Cinedigm Entertainment Group.

Written and directed by Stephen K. Bannon and produced by Victory Film Group co-founder Glenn Bracken Evans and Dan Fleuette, “The Undefeated” was independently financed by Victory Film Group and its partners.

The film includes leading prominent political commentators Mark Levin, Tammy Bruce and Andrew Breitbart as well as conservative activists Kate Obenshain, Sonnie Johnson and Jamie Radtke. Additionally, the film features interviews with Alaskan civil servants, elected officials and advisors who were involved in Alaskan politics during Governor Palin’s tenure.

“After the incredible feedback we got from enthusiastic audiences, we are very excited to bring this story of a true American hero to additional audiences across America,” said Glenn Bracken Evans.

For those who wonder why I am promoting this amazing new movie so aggressively, FReeper section9 sums it up nicely on conservatives4palin.com:

Look, you can't expect The Undefeated to blow the doors off anywhere it goes. That won't happen. Bannon chose NOT to publicize this film.

What this film is deliberately designed to do is to affect the Republican Primary Race. That's what it's for.

And it will serve, possibly, to start a conversation among independents who have doubts about Obama and who are looking for an alternative. Sarah is not considered a possibility among them right now, but when she announces, people will want to take a look at this film.

Palin knows how good this film is, which is why she is tying it to fundraising.

Off to bed. Got a big "leading by example" FReep scheduled for tomorrow. ;)

Here is the "pre-FReep" thread:

Any SoCal FReepers going to "The Undefeated" [Sarah Palin movie] and "after party" in ONTARIO?

This, I think, is a strategy that we can DUPLICATE nationwide...
...aggressively promote seeing THE MOVIE -- and attending an "AFTER PARTY."
And then, at the "AFTER PARTY," in addition to building relationships through FOOD and FELLOWSHIP...
...we exchange CONTACT INFORMATION, get them signed up for the O4P NEWSLETTER, and start planning for our NEXT EVENT.

Patience, grasshopper!
I think that we will CONTINUE to see new venues added to this list, on a REGULAR basis...
...but Mr. Bannon and Mrs. Palin are MASTERS at promotion, so we will have to TRUST them -- and WAIT just a little longer...
...before we find out about more "Volunteer State" locations, I think.

Thanks for the Ping Ron. I won't be able to drive to Ontario this time anyway.

Two days ago I requested my neighborhood AMC theater to show The Undefeated as soon as possible. I believe that there would be large numbers of Palin supporters and undecideds who would show up to see it if it were offered locally.

OK, I will say this again: If you want the Undefeated at a theater near you, AMC the corporation has a website that allows you to request films for your area. Pretty simple to do, and then you might also use the Illinois style of voting.....I have three email addresses, so voted three times.

Then, using a few close friends email addys, voted another four or five times. Kind of have a feeling that helped get it playing in Ontario, hmmmm?

And, for the maroon who added rhe keyword firesale to this thread...
...ALL of these discounts also apply to ALL of the movies currently being shown by AMC...
...(with a slight "upcharge" for the 3-D and IMAX versions)...
...including the new Harry Potter movie!

Apparently the deal with AMC is week-to-week, and could end at any time.

See, for example, here: www.movietickets.com

Currently, showtimes for "The Undefeated" are only listed online...
...until TUESDAY (7-26) in Orange,
and until THURSDAY (7/28) in Ontario.
So, I've been telling people that if they WAIT TOO LONG, they may MISS IT altogether -- until it comes out on DVD next year!

AMC **might** extend showings after those dates -- but they also **might NOT.**

You Palin people certainly seem to be taking notes....

I've never posted on a thread suggesting I'm fond of being pinged to your Russian bear. I find that symbol to be a bit un-nerving...

I'm watching a PBS special right now about some jerk who's running through the Mexican country with two burros and a boat-load of books on their backs.

I know this is going to get butt-ugley before things smell any better.

I don't remember PINGING you...
...but I **did** share your concern, at least INITIALLY, with the "Soviet" appearance of that "O4P" bear logo.
It grows on you, though -- so it doesn't bother me as much any more.
It must be that "Alaska/Russia" nexus thingie. :)
