Whether you agree or disagree with the legitimacy issue of Obama’s birth certificate is beyond the point: there is a news story here and it involves the First Amendment. (This ‘person’ mentioned above may be Glenn Beck, may be Rush Limbaugh. Either way the lame-stream media hasn’t said anything about it.)

I believe NOW, while Obama is being defied by Republicans in Congress and the Fast & Furious scandal is escalating day-by-day, this is as good an opportunity for Murdoch to be what he has always been, a fearless newsman.
Get the news out about how Obama is a tyrant muzzling radio, TV, and print media.

When a man's multi-billion $ fortune depends on remaining in any governemnt's good graces, don't expect him to sacrifice it on the altar of journalism. That's not how the world works.
Notice that Murdoch did nothing with your sensational report. As did Rush/Glenn Beck/whoever. Not a lot of fearless journalism going on here when there's that much money on the table. That's why we have blogs and forums and small-fry operators. Along with computing power, news gathering and dissemination also is decentralized and distributed now. A good thing.

Rupert Murdoch intends to live and die in great comfort, power, and security. Telling stories is a means to that end, whether they be financial stories in the WSJ, or leering headlines plastered next to page 3 girls in the Sun. It's all about the money and power, tout court.
