I know what lekvar is; I've eaten it all my life. You misspelled it.

Are you aware that what we now call "prune danish" is an Hungarian pastry, LEKVAR DELKERAL? They name was changed during WW I because Americans were boycotting everything and anything that was even vaguely attached to those we were fighting.

Okay, cherry-pick my posts; that will just make you look foolish as well as duplicitous.

Sarah had no experience in the ways of Washington then, nor should she have had any, but she’s a quick learner, just as she was as oil commissioner and governor. She is no one’s stooge.

I doubt it, but in truth, I have no idea what her “private” thoughts are or have been.

You're punch drunk....LOL

Go take a nap and get your work done. We'll meet again some time, I'm sure. Good night.

“Palin just stated she is prepared to cut the budget by $1.6 trillion right now. Name another caniddate that has said that.”

Clearly, she has thought through everything :-)

Bachmann is waaay down my list of choices for GOP nominee, I think she's a bad candidate because she has never run anything, nor had any achievements that show she deserves anyones' vote for president. I like her record and job as a congresscritter, just don't think she'd be a good nominee.

I just was saying, that she (and my nonexistent dog) could do a better job than Bambi is she were elected.

As a kid I ate perogi(s?) with lekvar, mashed potatoes, or fried cabbage as a filling. We fought for the lekvar ones. I couldn't spell at the time. :)

A few years ago I tried to buy some, and it wasn't a shelf item anywhere. Too bad. Same with horse radish roots, unless you shop in Cleveland.

Honestly, I am hoping that it will be Palin/West. He has the competence and military experience AND knows more about the moslems than even the moslems do.

Whomever she picks, I have full faith in her decisions.

There was a time when I was quite open to her, but she's steadily become one of my least favorites; not that anyone comes anywhere near close to my pick; SP.

We now have Obama and Biden as perpetual gaffe machines; I don't want another one.

We already have a president who has no leadership ability, nor experience and I don't want another one.

Could she do a better job as president, than Obama? I don't think so. Her pick of Rollins and not being able to keep good staff around are probably examples of how/whom she would pick for her cabinet and advisers. So she isn't a stinking Commie leftard, but that doesn't mean that she could govern well.

I love lekvar, so I understand where you're coming from.

Never buy it in a can; it'll taste tinny/off and will spoil whatever you use it in.

It was never really a widely available item, but used to be far easier to find;especially in areas where there was an Hungarian community. At one time, Cleveland and Shaker Heights had a largish population of Hungarians/those with Hungarian ancestry, but I have no idea if that is in any way still true.

There may be a source, on line, where you can order glass jars of imported Hungarian lekvar. I've never had to look for it there, because I can buy it where I live. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

Oh.......if you want to make it from scratch, I can FREEPmail you a recipe, if that helps any.

I agree with your assessment of West and it would be a great VEEP choice for Palin, but it is up to her; as well as the outcome of the primaries.
