Janet Napolitano's former chief-of-staff one of many at center of Fast and Furious scandal
American Thinker ^ | July 8, 2011 | J. James Estrada

"Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was in Nogales, Arizona on Thursday to announce the Obama administration's intention to strengthen efforts to stem the flow of drugs, arms and drug money on the southern border. This in the wake of the Fast and Furious scandal and subsequent Congressional investigation which has top officials at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Department of Justice (including Attorney General Eric Holder) running for cover.

A new story line in the broken wheel of Fast and Furious is the role played by the U.S. Attorney for Arizona Dennis Burke. Burke, appointed to the position by President Obama soon after his election, is a long time aide to Napolitano. He most recently served as her chief-of-staff when she was Governor of Arizona. Burke, who worked in the 1990's to ban automatic weapons, is reported to have provided "legal guidance" to the ATF on the operation that allowed guns purchased in Arizona to make their way into the hands of drug cartel members in Mexico. One of those guns was used in a shootout that took the life a border patrol agent Brian Terry."

This woman defines both “corrupt” and “inept”.

As such, she soooo totally fits the Obamaloon collection of clown/felons.

Will any of these liberal gunrunners ever see jail time? What idiots. This was their big push to do some gun banning leading up to the election. Doing this for Bammy Boy’s left-liberal base, to make them happy.

Read the book (if you can get a copy) Unintended Consequences by John Ross. You may be be surprised at some of the parallels of this scandal.

¨Obama has been quoted as telling Sarah Brady of the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence that he’s working behind the scenes to restrict gun ownership.¨

Now we know what he meant.

And to think, one front page story on this by the NY Times will take down the administration.

I posted this in an earlier thread about “Fast and Furious” but it was an old thread and may not get seen by too many.

I’ve been doing the who knew what and when searches on the internet. This is the earliest reference I can find on the term “Fast and Furious”.

http://www.justice.gov/usao/az/press_releases/2011/Fast_Furious_Map_ATF.pdf

If you load the document, right click, and pull up the document properties, you’ll see this document was created on 1/21/2011. (this is the earliest reference I’ve found so far)

Quite a few months before Holder said on May 3rd, that they’ve only heard about “Fast and Furious” for the first time a few weeks ago.

Huh? New rules? Hey Obama how about starting with preventing Mexican criminals from buying guns with your OK, while you watch them allowing the criminals to kill at will with your approval?

Government White House Plans to Release New Gun Safety Measures ‘in the Near Future’

WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — Six months after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot, the White House is preparing to propose some new steps on gun safety, though they’re likely to fall short of the bold measures activists would like to see.

Spokesman Jay Carney said that the new steps would be made public “in the near future.” He didn’t offer details, but people involved in talks at the Justice Department to craft the new measures said they expected to see something in the next several weeks. Whatever is proposed is not expected to involve legislation or take on major issues, like banning assault weapons, but could include executive action to strengthen the background check system or other steps.

Let's face it. It's unlikely that anybody will be going to jail for Fast & Furious in the near future. Or that the investigation will be able to progress far enough to implicate either Holder or Obama.

The House's power of investigation and punishment extends only so far (e.g., "contempt of Congress").

However, Fast & Furious is such an egregious scheme -- designed to undermine the Bill of Rights -- with such a bloody result -- over 150 victims, so far (nobody died in Watergate) -- that it deserves to be continued into the next administration.

If the Republicans gain the White House and the Senate in 2012, this investigation should proceed unencumbered -- under the auspices of a special prosecutor. The perpetrators of such a monstrous scheme simply must be punished -- to send a message that such perversion of government cannot and will not be countenanced ever again.

If the current Attorney General doesn't spend anytime behind bars in Leavenworth, it will be a travesty.

All these liberal conspirators at ATF. Collecting big fat Federale paychecks courtesy of the taxpayer. And they did have a scheme, a conspiracy to undermine the 2nd Amendment. I can only hope they are brought to Justice But they won't under Eric Holder. And when a Republican President comes in, in 2013, the American tradition is not to prosecute the previous Administration.

Where is the media uproar like there was with that faker Valerie Plame that Richard Armitage leaked her CIA connection.? Where is a special counsel to go after these ATF miscreants?

Send the whole batch of these worthless b@$^@#d$ go down to Mexico and explain the program to the families of the headless and bullet-ridden victims.

This failed program needs to be tied around the neck of Holder and Hillary.
