Texas Governor Rick Perry and two top state regulators on Thursday blasted the U.S. environmental agency for including Texas in a rule to slash sulfur dioxide emissions from power plants, warning that the last-minute action could threaten the state's electric supply.
The Environmental Protection Agency finalized a rule to reduce air pollution from coal-fired power plants in states east of the Rocky Mountains.
"Today's EPA announcement is another example of heavy-handed and misguided action from Washington, D.C., that threatens Texas jobs and families and puts at risk the reliable and affordable electricity our state needs to succeed," said Perry,

May I ask and answer my own Quiestion?
Question:
What is the Congress doing to protect us from an agency ordered by Obama to shut us down and destroy our economy?
Answer: Nothing
We voted overwhelming for Republicans in 2010, Most of those are working for us. Where are the old timers?
Sitting around with their thumbs up their rear and watching us get the shaft.
Are we going to get rid of RINO’s in 2012?
If we don’t we may as well hang it up we will be part of the UN Global World Power by 2016. Broke ,Busted ,in debt up to Obama’s flappy ears, and on our way to Zimbabwe inflation.
Shutting off our electricity during the hottest summer on record would be the surest way to kick off a legitimate secession movement.
I would be most surprised if every coal-fired plant in Texas does not already have SO2 scrubbers. Maybe the new rule is so restrictive none can meet the standards, which would not be a big surprise from this bunch of anti-Americans ACORN elected.
The EPA under Obama, encouraged by him, won’t stop until they totally kill and dismantle the US economy.

The nomenklatura and commissars in D.C. will one day find themselves as abject and powerless as did the nomenklatura and commissars in the Kremlin in 1991.
Sic semper tyrannis.
After tonights’ execution, obama will personally be leading the EPA to hammer Texas, in order to get even. This D-I-*-K holds major grudges.
Congress should de-fund the EPA.
What I want to know is how long before a state has the guts to tell the Federal Government to stuff it, and assert their rights? What is the federal government going to do about it? Go against the states national Guard.
“What is the federal government going to do about it? Go against the states national Guard.”
Well, that all depends on who’ll line up on which side, doesn’t it. Could say this is pre-planned. CWII.
Didn't Pres. Obama say something to this effect: "You can burn coal if you want to, but if you do, you'll go bankrupt"?

Barry makes Nixon look like a piker when it comes to grudges.
2 things that never happened, and one that exists in your conspiratorial imagination.
Who have you contacted about reigning in the EPA through the budget process? Who, if anyone, has an EPA bill introduced?
We’re getting real close to the Molon Labe line, imho.
