Hey, one of the lefty TV stations in Springfield, MO even plugged Rush’s Two If By Tea, but couldn’t bring themselves to name the product. They simply said that he had a new tea company and that Joplin had won the contest to have a semi-load delivered for the 4th of July. They read the copy with lots of squirming, grinning and winking, but they managed to get through the whole thing without a single verbal slur. They even haled Rush as a Missouri Native. I really, like watching their pain.
If one were cynical you could say this was exploiting the Joplin tragedy with a shameless self promotion of Rush’s new tea product. However, I can’t think of any community more deserving of some free iced tea as part of their July 4th celebration than Joplin, MO. Rush being a charitable sort...I would not be surprised if he also gave a sizable donation to help in rebuilding Joplin. Good for Rush.
