correction, the maid was “allegedly assaulted”
this is one case where the usual “allegedly” qualification is especially important — there is little reason to believe it was a sexual assault rather than something consensual with a hotel whore who happened to be working as a maid there....
perhaps he didn’t know she expected payment, or perhaps she tried to demand more money than he’d agreed to, who knows at this point, but her credibility and her whole story of sexual assault seem to be on broken thin ice......
Actually, I believe the assault took place. I am making no claims as to the whole situation.
