Illegal immigrants know law better than we

Editor,

After reading about illegal immigrants being released from ICE, I started to think as Americans, what are we doing wrong? It came to me education is the key.

I, too, would like to have Access cards, free housing, medical, several thousand dollars in my pocket and be backed by the NAACP, ACLU and representatives in this country. If you want to educate yourself, get involved with an illegal immigrant.

I was involved with a Spanish woman for three years. She lost her visa and wanted me to marry her so she could stay in this country. I told her I may not be that smart, but I am not that stupid. This was after dating her for three months. I found her permanent residency card. When you have a card like this, you are entitled to mostly everything. She cannot vote because she is not a U.S. citizen. I helped her with English but when I wanted her to teach me Spanish, she would not.She did not want me to learn Spanish because then I would understand what her family was saying about me. She is very well educated.

This is why we Americans screw up. We trust our lawmakers and politicians with policies that we think are made for us. In the meantime, with the rise of illegal immigrants, all they see is an opportunity for more money and votes.

Let's face facts. If I got stopped for a traffic violation without a license or insurance, I would be arrested. If I do not pay the fines, I could go to jail and would be in the newspaper.

The best thing to do is to educate ourselves in the same manner an illegal immigrant does. The people and resources are here.

When I worked in Arizona a few years back, we found several copies of an illustrated guide similar to a comic book that was printed in Spanish and offered information for people crossing the border about where they could get health care, food stamps, legal assistance, employment and even how to enroll their children in public school.

We are letting them get away with it.

Its not just illegals learning to scam the system. I have several people who use to work for me as CNA'S. They now work for up to 4 different staffing agencies. With 2 of them they receive and total about 60 hours of work per week. The other 2 they are offered and turn down work for about 20 each (total 40). They then file for unemployment on the two they turn down. AND RECEIVE IT. I know this to be true as I know their bosses. My wife is one of them. Despite the agency saying they refuse the work, (their claim is it is not offered), they receive the unemployment and it is charged against they agency. Both agencies have fought hard to stop this but both girls are getting full time unemployment and working 60 hours a week.
It's not just the illegals. Both ladies I know were very hard working when they worked for me. They have learned to game the system. These CNA’s are making more a week total than I do as a RN Manager of 28 people

I had to deal with a Section 8 welfare recipient last year and believe me they are very well versed in how to scam the system both up and down and inside out! Turns out she had her latest baby [out of wedlock] delivered in a out of state hospital 60 miles away although she had 4 hospitals within 20 minutes driving distance in our state. Guess why? Because she was scamming money from two state welfare systems! I have to get behind them at the meat market and watch them buy the best cuts of meat with their state ATM welfare cards while I pay cash for Ground Turkey. I am sick of it and that is where a lot of the tax money in this country is going to! Wake up People!
