There is no room for making a mistake. I agree with your point. I was just stating what the law allows; that is, beyond reasonable doubt does not have to be beyond all doubt.

Hi PR. I'd like to see the video too. Can you direct me to it?
Trying desperately to get caught up on some work but have my ear to the tv. Will do a verdict thread when we hear.

As a grandparent who has temporary custody of a 4 year old let me tell you it isnt that easy. I spend between 3 - 10 thousand dollars a month in legal fees fighting to keep that child away from a twice convicted drug pushing, gun-dealing parent who has filed for custody! Grandparents have few rights as in our state, the parents have the presumed ability to provide for their children, and grandparents have virtually nil rights. I fear that the money I have to fight this will run out before a final adjudication or in the end I will lose - and the child will therefore be the real loser!
I wish it were as simple as you imply for the grandparents to just take the child and raise them, but unfortunately the courts and social services departments of the states are run by flaming liber-tards who pay lip service to determining what is in the childs interest!
And dont even get me started on the uselessness of CPS ! I'm in a similar situation but I have FOUR of them here with me.
BRAVO to your entire post. I love when people tell me to just "take" the kids. I HAVE taken them, and now I have to keep them safe. It's an entirely different matter to actually get a custody order, fight DFCS, and terminate parental rights. And I work in the legal field.
People have NO idea - they really don't - and frankly it gets tiresome.
Anyway, God bless you, sweetie, and keep your chin up.

"I just dont see someone killing thier child without some kind of history of child abuse ..."There is a history. Casey has always been a party girl and she has had a child for just shy of 3 years. There were many times that Casey and Caylee were away from the Anthony home, Casey spending the night with men and attending parties. Where was the child?
Casey didn't work and didn't have the money for babysitters. This wasn't the first or only time that kid had been sedated and put in the trunk of a car. The Anthony family thought she was with Zanny the Nanny.

So you are suggesting that Casey was a prostitute and that is how she made her living. Could be, but surely the prosecution could have brought that out during the trial (or maybe they did?).

I didn't suggest at all that Casey was a prostitute. She didn't make a living other than by stealing from her friends and family. She stole hundreds of checks from her mother ... not hundreds of dollars -- hundreds of checks. She used her parents credit cards without authorization. She has been convicted of stealing checks from her best friend.
Her parents were providing her home, clothes and food. She stole for gas money, basically. S
