Thirteen U.S. senators who oppose the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) participated in a video for the pro-homosexual “It Gets Better” project, in which they encourage lesbian and gay youth to persevere and be optimistic about the future. In discussing the release of the video on Wednesday, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) said, “DOMA, folks, is on the wrong side of history.”

The participation of the 13 senators, all Democrats, in the “It Gets Better” video project was spearheaded by Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), who won Joe Biden’s seat after the latter became vice president.

>>“DOMA, folks, is on the wrong side of history.”

Go ahead liberals. Keep destroying civilization. Eventually, we’ll be too weak to fight back and then the muslims will come in to “save” us.

Then, let’s see where the LGBT agenda winds up? (Answer: swinging from a lamp post)

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) said, “DOMA, folks, is on the wrong side of history.”

The unadulterated ignorance and arrogance of that statement is flabbergasting!

More aggressiveness by the far left social liberals.

Any response by real American social conservertives will be met by cliches and falsehoods such as 'just worry about the economy', ...'conservatives need to stop bringing up distractions like this' and 'its the conservatives who on the wrong side of truth and American history.

Who cares if all of American legal and social history agrees with the social conservatives on this and almost every other issue.

Your posting clearly demonstrates the cloudborne character of the perceptions of the contemporary Left! History is not something that people seeking to "marry" members of their own sex have any comprehension of.

Homosexual marriage is an oxymoron. It seeks to appropriate a sacred institution--the function of which has always been to sanctify the procreational mating process, and to provide an ongoing, multi-generational family structure--in an effort to rationalize & make respectable, what are tantamount to muscular exercises that fake sensations of normal sexuality. To the extent that their cause goes anywhere, it will eliminate the practitioners from history.

Of course, they are simply throwing around words--the verbiage of agitation, as opposed to actual reason.

For a broader perspective on the airborne nature of Leftwing "Philosophy" (rationalized wish lists): Cloud Dancing.

America needs someone with the intellectual integrity of the small boy in Hans Christian Andersen's classic fable of the Emperor's New Clothes, before we go the way of other corrupted, and now dead, civilizations. (Maybe, if we are very lucky, even a Presidential candidate, who will know how to address the fantasy world of the 21st Century era of Obama.)

Amazing the havoc 2% can raise when standing in front of a media spotlight that casts a false 15-25% shadow.

on the wrong side of history

Even the "merely stupid" would not believe that assertion. These folks belong in the "hopelessly brainwashed" category. I am laughing with contempt at these miserable, disgusting, obnoxious people.

There are currently four MLB teams promoting It Gets Better: San Francisco Giants (naturally), Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox.

Regarding the Defense of Marriage Act:

If the Defense of Marriage Act is bigoted, hateful and the all the rest, then why did it pass in Congress overwhelmingly?

And why did some good liberals such as Chuck Schumer, Tom Harkin, and Joe Lieberman vote for it?

And that law was signed by a good Democrat, Bill Clinton.

Why are the liberals getting a pass for their support in passing the Defense of Marriage Act, if that act is on the wrong side of history and bigoted and all that????????

And if it’s so obvious how bad this law is, why didn’t good Democrats repeal it when they had the votes to do so, in the first two years of the Obama administration? I mean, if it’s so obvious what a terrible law this is, why didn’t these Democrats act on what they are saying???????

It was a liberal ploy, designed to provide breathing time for the left, much like “:Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
