I gave my chemistry class a table contaning two variables and asked them to solve for a specific Y value using Y = mX +B. Only one of my students knew how to solve the problem.
A long time ago I learned the value of a 3” wide, $100 SLIDE RULE to pass freshman Chemistry. I was never more proud of a “C” grade.
