Upstate NY is like Appalachia.
NY State is controlled by NY City and its near environs - policies are made by and for them, which have depopulated and bankrupted the rest of NY State.
I am surprised they are allowing “fracking” - they must have figured out a way for Albany and the public sector unions to get a large share of the proceeds....
