Mourners carry coffins during funeral for nine clerics allegedly killed in a Nato airstrike in Tripoli on 14 May.

Over 100 days of war and counting. The news from David Cameron's high-altitude attempt to pick winners in Libya's civil war is gloomy for those who believed, back on day one, that a quick win in the north African desert was going to rehabilitate the damaged doctrine of "liberal interventionism".

This is what a lack of leadership looks like - war by committee - Obama’s Nato.

This Libyan “war” is one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever witnessed in my life.

Yet another disaster presided over by Urkel.

Come on. Urkel was a likeable doofus.

And he only broke inexpensive stuff.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama promised us that the “time-limited, scope-limited kinetic military action” would last “days not weeks”....... it’s costing taxpayers some $9.5 million a day.

Our brave Osama bin Laden killing and pirate blaster machine must be just about done.

In just 10 more vacation days, this kinetic military action should be over.

It seems that NATO has killed more civilians AND children than Quadaffi has -

and now NATO has caught France illegally supplying weapons to the al Queada - oops - the rebels. this is illegal - but then, so’s the whole op. Then UN gave the okay for a ‘NO FLY ZONE’ op. that does not cover bombing the hell out a country,

when are this insanity going to be shut down?

It’s day 102. At $9.5m per day we’ve spent $969 million haphazardly intervening in a civil war on behalf of former iraqi insurgents and al queda members.

great points, excellent post!

as for when, well, now they have to kill Qadafi.
Hokstra(?) on C-Span, and others, have said that
even if we made a mistake, now we have to finish it.

...it’s like a bus driver hitting someone,
seeing their still alive, and backing over them,
to avoid the lawsuit. ...not exactly our finest hour.

but i’m SURE he’ll be followed by a true democracy,
like in Egypt, and the Islamists and M.B. won’t control it.

Now that the rebels are outside the capital Qadafi will peel out to another country within a week.

It is true that I have more respect for the original and would sooner have him in the White House than the replicate.
