Mohammedans in much of the world still practice slavery and dominate the world slave trade to this day.
And slavery continues to this day throughout Africa and the Middle East.
His paternal grandfather converted. This hardly constitutes "his ancestry."

If you go back far enough, most of us and quite possibly all of us are descended from both. Why it is relevant is beyond me.
