No. 1, if she would have been a Republican you can bet every gorey detail would have been hashed out in the media - x-rays, dr. reports, reports from neighbors, her trash cans checked - every piece of information thrown out there for public view - repulsive media.
That said, if she can not perform her duties as required, she sould step down. Our national security comes first and foremost in this situation. Her decisions may not affect VA but could affect our country. But, if she has a clean bill of health she should stay in her position. IMHO. Also, the incident will assure her victories in her state in the future (that’s also MHO)
But if she were a Republican? This would be the lead question on every talk show for days and weeks and months.
