I'm glad that she is doing better and wish her a full recovery as well. If she should indeed resign, I don't know if the governor would select a replacement for the remainder of her term or if a special election would take place. If the governor should pick her replacement,then don't be surprised if it should be her husband as he just recently retired from the military. If a special election should be held, then he may be a candidate. Obviously, I don't know, just making idle speculation...

All federal representatives must be chosen by public election, under the constitution.
