Pratt was recommended for nomination to President Obama by Senator Evan Bayh. The seat that Pratt is nominated for was vacated when David Hamilton was elevated to the Seventh Circuit in 2009.
And where was little Dickie Lugar on this. He could have put a hold on her nomination and quashed it. These judicial nominations have consequences. In this case, almost immediate.
