With this kind of crime associated with them, prescription painkillers should be made illegal.

"He was doing it because he lost his job and I was sick," his wife, Melinda Laffer, confessed... Some "confession". In just twelve words, she packs in three justifications.
What the hell is the matter with people? When you slaughter four people in cold blood, it does not matter what is going on in your personal life. Nobody cares about your employment history or whether you're making the payments on your credit card. And, sure as hell, nobody cares about your self-induced so-called sickness of wanting to pop a pill every thirty seconds, 24/7.
People do drugs because they enjoy them. It is not a sickness. It is recreation. People do them because they like them.

"He was doing it because he lost his job and I was sick," I love how junkies call being stoned out of their gourd "sick".
Also, I don't understand how she isn't up for the murders as well. She drove the get away vehicle.

All pharmacists should be required to carry openly. This would end tomorrow.
This kid should be dead, and four innocent people should be alive.
It’s worse than bank robbery, because you never know how high they are, and then there’s the other employees to think about, and God knows how many other customers are inside and where they are...
How many people have to die before anyone does anything? This happens every day, all over our country.

Laffer was picked out of a lineup by victim Jamie Taccetta's fiancé, James Manzella -- who had been waiting for her outside the drug store and saw the assassin -- and was then hauled off to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital's emergency room for treatment of minor injuries. Appears someone was given the opportunity to beat the s**t outta him. Manzella or the cops? Good. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the pain he'll get to endure.

The bitch was sick, ok sick of what, release your medical records. Otherwise take her out in the woods and let animals have a snack.

According to Fox, he was a hardcore science fiction fan. I’ve noticed a weird detachment about a lot of those types. Many of them don’t really see other humans as real. Only they and their friends matter.

Why do I sense a “this crime was cause by lack of affordable healthcare” moment?
Didn’t Obamacare mean that we can get all the drugs we want for free??
(Sorry, cold-blooded assassination of 4 people is not excused because your wife’s botching to you about her need for drugs)

As a 33 year Army vet, Laffer and his wife were obviously eligible for the legal amount of painkillers through base privileges. Also, she’s have been eligible for psychological/drug abuse counseling to work on her addiction. None of this makes sense, but now four people are dead because they didn’t do what they should have to deal with her (and his?) problems.

I can't say that I'm sorry
For the things that we done
At least for a little while sir
Me and her we had us some fun
Now the jury brought in a guilty verdict
And the judge he sentenced me to death
Midnight in a prison storeroom
With leather straps across my chest
Sheriff when the man pulls that switch sir
And snaps my poor neck back
You make sure my pretty baby
Is sittin right there on my lap
