Three is a BAD number for siblings — two always gang up on the third.

But the alliances shift constantly! I'm the oldest of three sisters too, but we also have a brother. Funny, in the 60's and 70's, four kids was a small family.

I have no hard time understanding how a bunch of three or four sisters could end up in eternal quarreling. My mother grew up in a family like that.

I reckon some families are pretty tough growing up in.

I will always look up to my grandfather. But he was indeed very, very demanding and rigid.

He worked as an executive of a major Swedish insurance company.

He didn’t exactly fancy the reports he got from teachers sent to him informing him on how his daughters behaved at school in the 1950’s.

Discipline is a good thing, but I’m proud to say I know how to control people without using physical force and violence.
