Radar Online is reporting that a bunch of Hollywoods elite are being sued in connection with their participation in high-stakes poker games. The civil complaint alleges that the money won by said Hollywood elite was actually money stolen by a hedge-fund manager from his clients to pay off his enormous gambling debts. According to the report, Toby Spider-Man Maguire was the big winner making $1,000,000 a month in winnings.
Interesting. Maybe the next time Maguire is in D.C. for a photo-op with President Obama, he can explain to the president why hes exempt from paying his fair share of taxes on the winnings you know, to spread the wealth or stop by the I.R.S. and drop off a check.

It's too bad these Hollywood leftists want autistic children to fend for their own health care in a bankrupt country while they cheat on their taxes and hoard millions of dollars...

"Maguire won as much as $1 million a month over a period of three years, one source told Star, which is on newsstands Wednesday."

Obama won’t care. He thinks of it as money well spent to promote his re-election. He knows Toby will toe the ideological line and influence the next generation.

Leftists are always for increasing taxes. Why? Because they figure it won’t impact their wallets....
since they don’t pay their fair share anyway.

I hope the IRS cares! We’re sinking fast, and we need that money!

The article says absolutely nothing about failure to pay tax on the winnings. If you click through to the documents this is a civil lawsuit in bankruptcy court. The perp ran a hedge fund but was convicted of criminal fraud for running a ponzi scheme and sent to prison. The bankruptcy trustee is trying to get the money back that the perp lost on the theory that it was investor money improperly transferred.
The suit is based on the fraudulent conveyance provisions of the Bankruptcy Code and California statutes, which can be pretty technical.
Now, it's entirely possible these guys didn't report it on tax returns, but we have no way of knowing that as they are not publicly available documents.

Obama is the IRS. The IRS is Obama.
He rules by fiat now.
He has subsumed all departments and agencies unto himself. Indeed, that is the danger of having departments and agencies. They are rogue, unelected satraps of sinecure. Whoever is signing their checks is their master.

With great cards on the river, comes great responsibility! I liked Spiderman 1 and Tobey Maguire. I shouldn't be surprised by this article, but I am.

I am sure The Won can just write another Executive Order and require the IRS to go "easy" on the Holly-weird idiots who make great leftist leaning movies or proper election donations!
I mean, he told ICE to ignore illegal aliens, so why not tell the IRS to ignore leftist actors?
