Former half-term Gov. Sarah Palin has reportedly packed in her bus tour...halfway through.
Real Clear Politics is reporting that Palin and her family have returned to Alaska from their "One Nation" bus tour, despite tentatively scheduled stops in Iowa and South Carolina.
From Scott Conroy at RCP:
Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.
Palin's intent to visit Iowa and South Carolina, as well as one stop in New Hampshire, caused some speculation that she was starting to get serious about a run for president in 2012.
The bus tour was launched over Memorial Day weekend, and was particularly scrutinized after one event in Boston where Palin badly flubbed the story behind Paul Revere's ride.
Rollins’ fault.
How do you quit a bus tour when you have no scheduled stops or time frame?
Half term?? This was written by a Half wit!
What’s going on here? If she wants to be in the race, it would be good to declare soon, in my opinion.
They keep telling the same old lie no matter how many times you refute it.
Sarah's right. Ignore the bastards. Make them follow you around like coolies.
Sohhhhh.... they want to draw an analogy of her character by tying it to her time as governor?
Righhhht.
I just finished reading ‘Sarah from Alaska’ by Scott Conroy & Shushannah Walshe. Apparently Conroy has decided to make a career of putting the most negative spin on everything Sarah does. Here she is...quitting AGAIN!!!! What a putz!
Something’s up if this is true. Don’t like the sound of it. Was her life threatened?

According to several esteemed history professors, none of whom came out of the Columbia School of Yellow Journalism, turns out Sarah was CORRECT!!!
IMO she is gracefully exiting the spotlight so as not to take anymore attention away from other Repub candidates. If she were going to run I don't think she would end the tour early.
In other words, the media fabricated an extra itinerary for Palin without telling her, so that when she didn’t show up they could say she quit.
I bet she is negotiating the outcome of the GOP primary with Rick Parry. To what end, I do not know.
Quitter!

Maybe the Palin family got tired of being stalked 24/7 by the MSM.
Someone on another thread stated that Todd is obligated to fish during the season or he can lose his rights to fish in a particular area. I’ll see if I can find the quote.
Why?
So you and state-controlled media have more time to attack her?
Waiting is of strategic advantage to her, and strategic disadvantage to her opponents, Democrat or Republican.
So you think that she should give up her strategic advantage to make if "fair" for your candidate-of-choice?
If your candidate-of-choice needs Sarah Palin's help, they're going to lose anyway, then you put your money on the wrong candidate.
So what? Maybe the kids were tired of being cramped in a bus.
Palin nailed the facts as documented in Revere's letter to Dr. Jeremy Belknap. Her delivery was clumsy and unpolished, but she knew more than almost anyone in the mainstream media, catching the essential points that the media never understood. The press, continuing their fact-free policy, has harped on that "error" long after they knew that she had it right and those who only knew Longfellow's poetry were wrong. In contrast, journalists still swoon over the Obama/TOTUS delivery, despite the regularity with which Obama and TOTUS deliver a hateful and error-filled speech, so long as the cadence is smooth.
