The Greatest Generation, indeed!
“I miss mine too, killed japs in the Pacific, been long gone, still miss him greatly.”
Understand, PROCON.
My uncle Leo was an island-hopper with the Army in WW II. He ended up in New Guiena (sp).
When I was a kid, we’d get together for family occasions. He’d suddenly start shaking and need to lie down on a bed - malaria. My aunt (his wife) let me take cold ice-packs to him while he lay on the bed shivering.
May God bless your father.
