Last night my wife and her sister were talking about the time they went to South Padre Island. My wife called me from there and said they had rented a car and crossed the border. They were laughing about my reaction to their little trip.

Santeria is practiced in Metamoras. I saw one culture expert say he never goes across that border at Brownsville without a cross hanging around his neck. It’s always been dangerous. Only worse now.
