In a word: HillBilly.
Yeah, I grew up in a very ethnic world. We had kids named Weiner and one kid named Piccolomini! We didn’t think twice about it.
Manorville is where the cut from the LIE down to Sunrise Highway is. It has the last reasonably priced shopping before you hit Westhampton, which actually abuts Manorville's SE corner.
I know a doctor named Hyman Schmuckler. Thats a two-fer.
Riverhead used to be the last place for reasonably priced shopping. It’s been twenty years since I lived there (Sag Harbor), so things may have changed since. When I was there, Manorville was never on my (or anyone else I knew) itinerary.
Manorville stands out as about the last place on the island where one can still pick up a few acres without breaking the bank. I see it as a good long-haul (multi-generational) investment...buy the land, let it sit, pay the taxes and gift the great-grands with property worth a couple of million.

Five plus acres in horse country (sub-dividable) that can be had for about 90K per acre. They're asking more but they'll get ninety per at best.
btw...did you ever go to Eugene's Fish house in Sag Harbor?
I left in 1979, Eugene’s wasn’t there. Black Buoy and Sag Harbor Tavern or Inn are the only two I recall.
I’ve heard that, if the baby is a girl, they are going to name her Ura.
