This death is nothing short of murder.
The militarization of local and state law enforcement is not a good thing.
It is just another heavy handed way for the government to build its own power at the expense of individual freedom.
In this case it is a way to evade the letter and spirit of the Posse Comitatus act which was passed, in part, to prevent abuses of power exactly like this.
Well said - that's exactly what SWAT is: the use of military force against the civilian population by another name, complete with "laws" that deny normal police restraint against the civilan population.
