Normally, a politician gains credit when he leaps to the defense of his wife and loses stature when he fails to do so. We will see if the rules apply to Gingrich. I doubt it.
I suspect the mainstream media is will now systematically attempt to destroy every potential Republican nominee because they know as we do that with Obama's polling numbers deteriorating along with the economy the only way they can get him reelected is to elevate the negatives on his opponent.
Expect more of the same from every mainstream media outlet against every Republican in the race and likely to get into the race.
We conservatives ought to consider whether or not we should defend Gingrich because they will come for our guy (or gal) next. Gingrich at least is trying to make them pay a price, will conservatives draw the line here or throw Gingrich under the bus? At some point in this process we conservatives will have to stop retreating and circle the wagons.
I would definitely defend him on this. The media was unethical. Period!
(I heard him on Greta last night. His ideas about how to turn this nation around were GOOD....especially what to do with the FDA and the EPA. Though I don’t want him as president, his intelligent solutions to many problems ought to be utilized somehow.)
I whole heartedly agree, and I don't particularly care for Newt.
The MSM will try to take out any threat to liberalism past or present, no matter how small.
Conservatives need to understand that and stop cheering when other candidates other than our preferred ones get trashed unfairly.
Exactly....all except their choice to run against the usurper
Personally, I would like to see Newt wind up as VP with a more outside the beltway POTUS nominee.
He could easily fill a Cheney like role or be an excellent chief of staff
