NEW MILFORD -- A mother was arrested and Hill and Plain Elementary School was locked down late Tuesday morning because the woman went onto school property and allegedly knocked on windows to try to see her child, police said.
April Gage, 33, of Prospect Street, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace.
Police said Gage went to the school about 11:30 a.m. Grandparents current have custody of the child, police said.
Gage was held on $1,500 bond for an appearance Wednesday in state Superior Court in Bantam.
You can always tell a Milford Man.
To.
The.
Story.
April must have been off her medication.
“..Grandparents current have custody of the child, police said...”
News filtering by the Danbury News-Times is blatantly and shamelessly reprehensible.
I’d assume there is a reason the grandparents have custody of the child.
Parents — If you’re under the impression that your child belongs to you in the United States, THINK AGAIN.
It’s probably an accurate statement.
Did you read the article? Or just the headline?
Bet on it.
Our doped up ex d-i-l has called the police on my wife and me numerous times from a state 325 miles from here to report us abusing the g/kids we have custody of. The chief of police, who happens to be a neighbor and is well acquainted with us and the kids, came to the house to tell us about it the first time and later when I happened to see him in the neighborhood, told me that she has called numerous times since, to the point that he is going to pursue a restraining order and/or pursue harrassment charges against her himself.
The problem with getting charges against her is that the first time is a misdemeanor and this state won't try for extradition for a misdemeanor. He may do it any way and then pursue it again if she does it again. Second offense being a felony.
