My 2011 BMW does not have a spare tire period. It has ‘Run-Flat’ tires which I hear are VERY expensive to replace.

I have a 2006 BMW with runflats — I hate them with a passion! NJ roads are horrible for potholes, and runflats, having a stiffer sidewall, make the ride quality even worse.

And to replace them does cost a fortune — the tires alone are about $330 for my model, plus the cost to install. I had a nail in a tire recently, but runflats are also more difficult to repair, so a new tire it was >_<

After each service visit, I make sure to include in the comments to BMW section that they should bring back regular tires and a spare as an option.
