I’m a simpleton!

I enjoy coverage under Medicare, yet I have chosen Humana Insurance Co. to enter me in a “Medicare Advantage Program”.

This is a private insurance company, who receives my Medicare benefits, and administers their management talent to manage my medical care. It turns out that their service costs me nothing extra (used to be $10 per month.)

So, I think that basically my Humana Medicare is kind like a voucher program, just like the Ryan program.

Now, if Ryan plan says that I get a stipend of say $8,000 to buy my own insurance from one of multiple offerings, that’s great.

Remember that Obamacare only has one totally comprehensive level of coverage.

But, under Ryan, I’ll be able to choose to not have Maternity care, fertilization care, maybe extensive dental care, maybe skip child disease and immunization, some types of mental care, I can opt out of ambulance services if I wish, can cap my annual medical benefit; all based on competitive choices that I decide to make.

I certainly don’t understand the left’s problem with that.
