“The most common religious references I see on Palin-related threads are comments by people claiming that people who support Palin worship her and are cultists. I have never seen Palin referred to as being a religious figure in her own right by any Palin supporter, only by her detractors.”
Here are a few examples: names deleted to protect the guilty.
If she is the Lords annointed, ( and I believe she is) ; Hell cannot stop her.
Watch and pray.

If God determined and will it, she will be the 45th President and there is nothing man nor spiritual force that can stop that, just as long as she stays on the right path which has been preordained for her.

You too? I knew it as well! Something was different all together about her, in fact when I saw her on that stage in Ohio, I said to myself that fate/destiny/Gods will whatever one may call it, was bound for her to something higher and farther than just running for the VP slot

God will chose his Gideon, his David, perhaps his Sarah for his champion for this battle. The devil already has his man ready to run for reelection. Sarah loves America that is certain, may God save America with whoever stands against Obama.

I believe Mans rein on earth is coming to a swift halt, and as the Bible says...All Nations now belong to Christ the LORD...His divine government will rule, no one else
And Sarah Palin is among the humans chosen to facilitate that rule

This last post is from a thread Named :I will go to Hell and back for Sarah Palin.
Fanaticism is a belief or behavior involving uncritical zeal, particularly for an extreme religious or political cause or in some cases sports, or with an obsessive enthusiasm for a pastime or hobby. Philosopher George Santayana defines fanaticism as “redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim”;[1] according to Winston Churchill, “A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject”. By either description the fanatic displays very strict standards and little tolerance for contrary ideas or opinions.
In his book Crazy Talk, Stupid Talk, Neil Postman states that “the key to all fanatical beliefs is that they are self-confirming....(some beliefs are) fanatical not because they are ‘false’, but because they are expressed in such a way that they can never be shown to be false.”[2]
The behavior of a fan with overwhelming enthusiasm for a given subject is differentiated from the behavior of a fanatic by the fanatic’s violation of prevailing social norms. Though the fan’s behavior may be judged as odd or eccentric, it does not violate such norms.[3] A fanatic differs from a crank, in that a crank is defined as a person who holds a position or opinion which is so far from the norm as to appear ludicrous and/or probably wrong, such as a belief in a Flat Earth. In contrast, the subject of the fanatic’s obsession may be “normal”, such as an interest in religion or politics, except that the scale of the person’s involvement, devotion, or obsession with the activity or cause is abnormal or disproportionate.
They are delusional.
I deleted Jesus from the Palin Comparison List when *I* was blamed for the sacrilege - rather than the people who actually made that comparison.
Bachmann MISSED the bus. Unfortunately she doesn't realize it and continues to stand at the bus stop with Ed Rollins fleecing her pocketbook as her campaign manager.
Trumps supporters wanted a candidate who would speak strongly about his faith?
RE: Sarah Palin, Allen West, or Herman Cain.
Of the 3, only one has declared, the other one is SURE not to even consider running, and the third is playing coy.
Give it time. We have miles to go.
” You missed the post where a well-known palinite called Bachmann “Judas to Palin’s Christ”. “
Not surprised......;-)
I take Michele Bachmann very seriously but as a congresswoman, not as a president. She is right now where she ought to be.
Also, unlike what has been implied above, I do not recall ever having seen any of those quoted posts before.
Don't bother replying -- apparently wtc911 feels able to divine my own thoughts and memories, so I'll just allow you all to carry on without me.
Yes,really.
Helpful hint: His name was Reagan ...
