Democratic National Committee Chairwoman and South Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz isn't very good at retracting statements.
Wasserman Schultz was on CNN Sunday when she said Republicans want to bring states back to Jim Crow-era laws, drawing the ire of the National Republican Congressional Committee.
She responded by saying it wasn't the right analogy to use, then immediately made the same analogy without mentioning the name "Jim Crow."
Here's what Wasserman Schultz said to CNN contributor Roland Martin on Sunday:
"You have the Republicans, who want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws and literally-and very transparently-block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote for Democratic candidates than Republican candidates.
"Photo I.D. laws, we think, are very similar to a poll tax. Just look at African-American voters as a snapshot. About 25 percent of African-American voters don't have a valid photo I.D ... the reason it's similar to a poll tax is because you've got the expense. You've got the effort."

That witch makes me want to move out of SoFlo. Vasserman Schultz (As Mark Levin likes to call her) is a disgusting pig of a woman. That’s the nicest thing I can say about her.
I think we should shoot this objection down by simply making the cost of a state-issued non-driver's license photo ID $0. If someone can't pay $0, he has no business voting.
Schultz and Weener are typical of todays politicians who are actually JINOs (Jews in name only), like most politicians they are disciples of satan and dire enemies of America!
In Missouri it’s only $11 for a 6-year id. This is yet another example of the soft bigotry of low expectations that Democrats have for minorities.
Every time I think that the democrats have gotten as stupid and idiotic as they can possibly be — they manage to lower the bar.
Wasserman-doltz frames her argument around 25% of African-Americans (i can’t stand that moniker) not having a photo id and that it would cause them unnecessary effort to obtain such i.d. I guess it never occurs to her that the same requirement is needed to be met in order to obtain a bank account or to cash a check. In fact, you would need some sort of i.d. to apply for welfare, food stamps, WIC, etc. The lack of common sense among democrats is alarming.
I just used $20 as a guestimated average. I don’t even have to go back to the secretary of state office to renew it if I do so by mail before my birthday.
Bad Wasser.
Oh, wait...that’s what they call Budweiser in Germany (bath water).
Maybe Abwasser (wastewater) would work.
They’re good at that. They’re not good at governing, but they’re good at lowering the bar.
Lets talk about Jim Crow Laws
Almost all were Democratic Governors and legislatures.
If it is "not the right analogy to use" then that makes your repeated use of the word "LITERALLY" when making that inappropriate analogy even more egregiously offensive.
I thought the DNC lost its’ marbles when they appointed this dimwit CNC Chair. She is a loose cannon and you never know what is going to come out of her mouth. The RNC must have been lauging for hours after the DNC announced her appointment. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
JINOs—hmmm....that’s easier to type than Pseudo-Jews....can I steal it ?
I wonder if she has body guards?

Next year Social Security checks will stop-—everybody will have to have direct deposit.
Then you will see a panic to get photo ID’s.
No hardship when free money is involved.
My wife and I just bought a new car last week. We both had to show our IDs which we did without complaint. Showing your ID is a fact of life for many things. Why isn’t WassS upset about the 25% of Aframs who have no ID?
