I believe those references are only to the bars that he was admitted to, not that he was appointed as a judge in those jurisdictions.

Whew! That's a relief. Thanks!

Where's the "barf alert"?

People like the writer of this smug screed make a bad name for urbane northeastern liberals, as if that could be made any worse. Sadly, they miss even their own transpositions, as in:

"Get ready for the GOP's next frontal assault on what's left of the American voters' collective intelligence..."

I'm fairly sure that should have read "intelligence collective", not "collective intelligence".

Considering, that Palin has not announced candidacy, (though I may have missed an announcement out here past the end of the sunlight pipeline--we don't have enough trees to be 'in the sticks'), and the writer is heartily attacking her as if she had, perhaps the writer would better waste their time stringing invective together for those who are in the race, instead of resorting to mysogynistic diatribes.

Didn’t Ann Coulter devote a few chapters to documenting how the Left thinks any of their opponents are stupid and the American electorate in general is just to dumb to grasp the concepts of how they are trying to improve society as a whole? This is just SSDD in Leftyland.

Here’s the reason he/they hate her so much:

2 Cor 2:14-15 (Message paraphrase)
Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse.

And when the voting public rejects leftists and their ideas, it doesn’t give them pause to think that their ideas might be bad... no...

instead, it affirms in their minds how superior they are to the masses, because the masses are simply too dumb to understand their ideas, as proven by the fact that they were rejected by the voters.

A flaming lib Massachusetts lawyer with 30+ years of practice who hasn’t finagled at least a District Judge appointment?

He certainly has a grasp on all the current talking points and the Failing Shyster Rule: “If your case stinks up the joint, just back up the manure spreader and slime everybody on the other side.”

Poor child must have been donating to the wrong set of sleazeballs.

Boy, no kidding. Well, what else can we expect from a liberal lawyer/judge?

I don't think that Sarah Palin worries people on the Left as much as she angers them. They don't truly fear her because they confidently and uniformly believe her to be an uneducated, uncultured idiot. But the Progressives' anger comes from the fact that Palin is an avatar for everything they detest.

A patriotic, religious, traditionally-married woman who not only opposes abortion but chose to bear a child most feminists would have casually discarded; a Red State, working-class, non-Ivy-League educated supporter of free market capitalism, energy independence, and the Second Amendment - if the American Ruling Class ever collaborated to create a caricature of everything they despise, she would look and sound a lot like Sarah Palin.

So, while I harbor some serious concerns about her long-term viability as a Presidential candidate, it is a wonderful thing to watch the effect Palin has on the Left, as their phony masks of compassion and tolerance drop to reveal the snarling, vicious beasts beneath. It's enough to make you smile.

UMass/Amherst and Columbia Law? That explains a great deal about both the judge’s delusions of intellectual superiority and his hostile attitude. Amherst is quite possibly the most radical city in the United States - it makes Berkeley look like Bedford Falls.

“President George W. Bush, based on the failed economic vision of Ayn Rand. Rand”

Bush, an Ayn Rand devotee, right. Bush actually said in late 2008 during the crash, to paraphrase, that we had to use non free market principles to save the free market.

Leftists don’t understand that conservatives do not reflexively support all Republicans as they do with the Devilcrats. Conservatives actually care about policy and not just power.

0bama is trying to run against Bush again. Conservatives must not fall into the trap of defending Bush. Most of us were utterly dismayed and horrified by the excess spending, TARP and the auto bailouts enacted during the waning days of the Bush administration. Instead, we must state that 0bama is continuing and exponentially expanding many of the destructive Bush policies that we have opposed.

In the end, it is still Bush’s fault.

The upside of these articles is that I get so much pleasure thinking about how liberal heads will explode when Sarah becomes president.

This is a remarkable coincidence. I googled the following quote just this morning: For all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these "it might have been."

I came up with this Richard Latimer screed of him griping that of all the bad things about Obamacare it was missed opportunity of jamming single payer down our throats.

Suspicions. Suspicions? Lunacy confirmed.

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” -H.L. Mencken

So much truth in that Mencken quotation - followed by twaddle.

Oh, except that Palin was wearing a biker helmet and he thinks that looks silly.

Actually he doesn't. He is incapable of processing what looks silly. (He just thinks Palin is silly in general, and Dukakis wasn't)

Michael Dukakis was ridiculed by rags like the Herald for a photo op showing him wearing an army tank commander's helmet -ha, ha, ha!
It wasn't Dukakis wearing the helmet. It was that he looked wrong, out-of-place with the goofy grin.

To pull of that look and appear as if you belong there requires a politician to have, dare I say, gravitas

The irony is that the author of this piece is so immersed in his liberalism that he can’t see that the current occupant is the epitome of the Mencken quote.
