All is not lost. First, these younger men are indeed watching political commentary/entertainment. When they compare a source of political commentary to others, eventually, they will have a stark contrast. Second, it is academic from this point as to how many of these men will turn away from the Daily Show.
Many of those men under 35 aren’t working right now, and probably don’t find much funny stuff on TV anymore. The loss of the unemployed liberals will haunt the Dems in coming elections; it already has in 2009 and 2010.
If Dems think their “ideals” will carry the day, they’re delusional; people can’t eat them or make mortgage/rent payments with them. If unemployed libs could find work converting baby seals into gasoline, they’d hop at the chance.
