Maybe she'll teach her useless audience a few dance moves.
This a bet that ABC will lose and Walt Disney is turning over in his grave.

Perky Katie is a loser for any network, she’s boring, snotty and unattractive to anyone except to a few deadheads living in NYC. Go away, Couric, your time is up.

umm. Couric is less popular and have smaller and shrinking audience than Oprah. What make them think Couric can reinvent herself into an Oprah

ABC is placing a big bet on Katie Couric to fill Oprah Winfrey's shoes. Katie Cutey isn't anywhere near fat enough to fill those bloomers.

Hahahahahahahahaha!
Couric is a harsh, cold, wicked woman with clamps for lips.
Oprah at least always appeared “real,” sympathetic, and kind. (sometimes she only Appeared so). To answer this question, whom would you rather be in a stuck elevator with? Couric or Oprah?

Couric is a hyper-partisan lefty/socialist and might attract a few welfare rats, but otherwise this looks like a failed snoozefest in the making. Her colon is not all it's cracked up to be.

I'll always remember Couric for something I witnessed on the Today show, back in her perky days.
There was an off-duty cop, I think in Atlanta, who was getting her hair done in a beauty parlor. In walked two armed perps. She pulled out her sidearm and had it out with them at close range, putting them both down.
Katie had her on the phone to tell her story, and then asked her if she thought stricter gun control would have prevented the incident. Cop told her no, that she was a firm believer in the right to carry for self defense.
Wrong answer.
Katie said "Thank you very much" and quickly hung up on her.
NRA presented her with an award for that.

This sneering, unpleasant woman can in no way replace Oprah. I never watch Oprah (since I have a job), but I never WOULD watch Katie Couric. She is supposed to relate to the housewives of America? Give me a break.
