Yeah..this was big news. Lots of Trader Joe fans in Dallas Metro. I sure wish we had Southern California style Mexican Food though. Tex Mex just don’t do it for me. Every single Tex Mex restaurant used premade, preformed, cheap Taco Bell shells, they use brisket instead of shredded beef. Chile con carne for enchilada sauce, etc. Mariana’s taco shop in Frisco is the closet I have found to authentic So. Cal Mexican food. And they keep fry their own taco shells and use shredded beef and real enchilada sauce. And they are from San Diego, so it makes sense. Just say NO to Tex Mex. :)

You’re going to the wrong places, then - many DFW TexMex places do all that stuff in house and don’t use the Taco Bell shells.

Also, keep in mind that Mexican varies even in Mexico and the style here is closer to that of northern or central Mexico and is therefore different than that in SoCal or Western Mexico.
