He asked me to post the photos for Memorial Day for everyone to remember our fallen, the ones who gave it all.
Many thanks to Al B. for making this posting possible!

HalfFull — ping and Happy Memorial Day!
To all those who fought and died for our Freedom, and that we may have the courage to continue to fight those who would still try to take it away, both foreign and domestic
Because these pictures are worth a thousand words and prayers, we moved this to the front page in the News forum from Bloggers.
God Bless everyone who gave all for our great Nation.

This site from the American Battle Monuments Commission has a short video tour and more pics. Lorraine is absolutely stunning in it’s beauty and reverence...

Nice tribute. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting.
These are the identical things you see at the American military cemetery in Anzio, Italy, as well. As far as the eye can see, in every direction, rolling hills filled with crosses and stars of David. And a marble room carved with the thousands of names who perished unfound in those battles. All I could do was to cry.
All those boys who mostly never got to be parents, husbands, grandparents. I know we at home appreciate them. I’d like to hope that Europe does too.
They died on their feet so that we might not live on our knees.
Thank you, Onyx, for posting these moving photographs.
God bless the GIs!
