Excuse me while I go skulk around all sullen and brooding and dark.

My parents always taught me to be friendly and cheerful when meeting new people. Leave a positive impression on them. A smile is natural when one is glad to meet a new person. If that’s a turn-off, it’s the other person’s issue to deal with.

When I was a young woman, men were always telling me to smile, why so sad, etc. Pissed the hell out of me.

Me, I like happy, peaceful, stable men like my husband. One set of inner demons in a relationship is more than enough already.
